Find comfort outside of your comfort zone

The more I do this work, the more I read, the more I observe and the more my curiosity grows about us, human beings. I notice that we seem to be wired to find comfort and safety.  We don’t seem to like change very much and so therefore choose a ‘safe’ life, one that’s comfortable and predictable.

We seem to love our comfort zone…….or do we, are we just scared of the unknown?

So tell me lovely, do you find that you go about life doing the same things?

You’re in a routine of ummmm same-ness? Maybe it feels like a bit of a funk?

Do you have that feeling of craving more excitement in life, but for some reason you still keep doing the same things over and over again.  Because it feels comfortable and safe.

OR do you want change, you know what you want to do, but you’re too scared to take the leap into uncertainty?

Ah ha yep I know all of those feelings.

My advice is to start small.

Change one thing each day. It might be changing your route to work.  Or cycling instead of taking public transport. Maybe booking in for a new haircut. Or taking a course in something you’re interested in.  Not for progressing your career, nothing other than for the sheer joy of it.  Or trying a new recipe, a new fruit or vegetable or a completely new cuisine.


Whatever it is, notice how it makes you feel.  Did you enjoy it?  Did it spark something in you?  What did you learn about yourself?


I challenge you lovely to try doing something new everyday for the next month and see what sparks within you.


This is how magic is made.
The small things build up over time and can have a big impact on our life path.
